I read Tom Selleck 's memoir and really enjoyed it. Also just finished Sherry Thomas 's latest Lady Sherlock. Her books are absolutely scrumptious.

The times are definitely interesting and a little scary sometimes. It’s my first week of summer break and I’ve slept more that read the last few days but that’s about to change! I started The Return of Ellie Black by Emiko Jean yesterday. We’ll see about this one.. my July tbr shaping up nice. I have 2 Kathy Reich’s books, I’m going to start either ACOTAR or Fourth Wing plus I just got my hand on John Vercher’s new one Devil is Fine!

Politics are out of control....to the point I don't really trust anyone who wants to run FOR ANY office.

I'm going to Catherine Coulters new book next. I've been reading her forever and the books you wrote together introduced me to you!

I finished A NOVEL LOVE STORY by Ashley Poston. I really enjoy her books. They always have some magical element.

I'm almost finished with YOU'LL NEVER FIND ME by Allison Brennen. Another great series by her.

Grandkids will literally be here any minute. We went to the firework stand the other day and spent a small fortune for them!

I'm in the middle of a 5 day weekend. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

I am the only person in my department today so it's going to be a long day. We enjoyed the fireworks from the comfort of our living room. I'm on the 7th floor of a condo and can see them from towns all along the horizon. Today I just want to curl up with an iced tea and read.

An Education in Malice by S.T. Gibson

Exposure (Rita Todacheene #2) by Ramona Emerson

Head Cases by John McMahon

Middle of the Night by Riley Sager

The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley

There Is No Ethan: How Three Women Caught America's Biggest Catfish by Anna Akbari

Throne of the Fallen by Kerri Maniscalco

Really loving Head Cases. It’s perfect for fans of Criminal Minds. That catfishing book was WILD! My manager and coworker also read it. Can’t wait to talk to them about it. Truth is definitely weirder than fiction.

I read the spider piece and loved it. I loathe spiders but could see the safe fascination you had with your little guy. Congratulations on being ready to land the plane!! It must be a bit of a relief to hit this spot and know you'll get there.

I finished Alex Finlay's book and am in the middle of Meg Gardiner's, SHADOW HEART. This is a good twisty book. She always delivers for me. As for politics, I feel the word dangerous is one thousand percent accurate! I don't think my daughter's generation (she's 21) has enough insight, due more to experience than anything else, to see how this could and will affect our country. I'll leave it there. That being said, we capped last night off by watching fireworks from our pool. I've decided this is the only way to do it in Texas.

Happy writing!

Fireworks by the pool sounds perfect!!!

It’s interesting to be a little older in the world and be experiencing this. Perspectives really do shift with a little life experience.

I love Meg. She’s the best!
