Oh I am so saddened to read of MJs passing. I love her work.

Congratulations on bringing Jayne full circle. It’s been a joy watching you try new things with those wonderful characters. I cannot wait to see where your imagination takes us next!

I was heartbroken to learn of MJ Rose’s passing. She remains one of my favorite authors. I always kept my eye out for new books on fragrance, art, fashion and jewelry for her. I can still remember sitting in Stanley’s with my copy of Killer Year and “meeting” such an incredible group of authors. Most of which I connected with on social media and later got to meet in person. It’s been 16 or 17 years and they’re still some of my favorite people. Sending lots of love and hugs.

This week’s list:

Accidentally on Purpose by Kristen Kish

The Astrology House by Carinn Jade

Bellevue by Robin Cook

The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones

Long Bright River by Liz Moore

The Seminarian by Hart Hanson

Happy Holidays, Everyone!

I enjoyed The Paris Widow, but I had to switch from audiobook to hard copy because I didn't like the narrator. ~ On my reading list for December: Verity by Coleen Hoover, All Fours by Miranda July, The Wedding People by Alison Espach, and The God of the Woods by Liz Moore. ~ I hope you're having a fantastic vacation. 💖

I’m sad there is only one Jayne book left to read, but I know it will be spectacular. My December reading has beeen almost non existent. ☹️ But I think I’m finally coming out of my slump. Thanks to Lisa Unger and Stephen King. I’m finishing up Holly by King today. And I want to read the 3rd book in Eriq LaSalle’s Martyr Maker trilogy next. I would love to get to The Peacock and the Sparrow before the end of the month also.

I'm sad that Jayne Thorne is ending but I love that you left an opening for something in the future.

I've seen several authors mention the passing of MJ Rose. I've never read any of her books, but I'll have to check her out. She sounded like an amazing person.

I've been a busy reader this week.

I just finished THE NEXT GRAVE by Kendra Elliott. This is a spin off from her FBI series and it's wonderful.

I also read NOW OR NEVER by Janet Evanovich. The Stephanie Plum series is just laugh out loud funny!

The best for last...THE SONGBIRD AND THE HEART STONE by Carissa Broadbent. If you read her other duology set in the Crowns of Nyxia world, this book is Miche's story.

Someone said the first books were like The Hunger Games with Vampires. I would say this book is like The Lord of the Rings with Vampires. It's a little violent but not too over the top. I flew through this book....it was just wonderful!!

We're looking at the possibility of ice today, which is not my favorite. Snow doesn't bother me but ice is bad.

I love Merry Everything!!

Hope the ice doesn't impact your holidays too badly!!! Great list of books this week. I need to try Carissa again. I was in a Fourth Wing slump and it was not what I needed at that moment. Lord of the Rings with Vampires makes more sense. Thanks for that!!

I recently finished (and enjoyed) THE SPY COAST by the great Tess Gerritsen. Looks like it’ll become another series.

My TBR is long enough to take up entire rooms of my house—and maybe require an addition—if I still bought physical books. Since 99.7% are ebooks or audio, though, I have all the backlog but none of the clutter.

Great book by a brilliant author. She's amazing. And I hear you -- my teetering physical TBR looks like a joke in comparison to the digital and audio stacks...
